Commercial Retail Projects
These past retail projects are mall additions and renovations located in Arizona, Illinois, New Mexico, and Texas. Project scopes include new amenity selections, exterior and interior way-finding identity renovations, interior upgrades, and expansions as needed to accommodate the growth of new anchor tenants. Tailoring these projects to local culture & demographics and providing inviting and visually interesting public spaces that do not over power the identity of the mall tenants and anchors are some of the challenges for these projects. My work associated with these projects was while employed by other design firms as a senior designer, project architect, and project manager.

Winrock Mall was the first outdoor mall converted to an interior mall. In the mid 1990's the owner expanded the west end of the mall with a new anchor tenant and new bold mall entrance. Unfortunately, the mall no longer exists.

The new west end entrance and interiors were remodeled with bold southwestern New Mexico colors and shapes to reflect the local aesthetic.

In the early 2000's the owner of Irving Mall in Irving, TX desired new mall entrances, identity, and public spaces.

New updated mall entrances with independent entrance identity was implemented to facilitate wayfinding for shoppers.
